Regulations
The races are governed by the FISA Rules of Racing.
Events with less than two entries will be cancelled. No more than 6 boats can take part in any race.
The lanes are marked with red buoys (Albano system). During normal weather conditions crews will be started in the lanes according the following schema:

In case of special circumstances, for instance during abnormal weather conditions, it may be decided to use a different schema for assigning lanes.
Please take notice of the traffic rules during racing as well as during training. It is of great importance to follow these traffic rules.
Definite assignment will take place during the team managers meetings: at Friday, June 8th 18:00 hrs for Saturday’s races and at Saturday, June 9th 18:00 hrs for Sunday’s races. The team managers meeting will be held in the Olympic Training Centre (OTC) at the Bosbaan. Absence from the team managers meeting will be at risk of the delegates. The draw for the races will be immediately after the respective team managers meetings.
Events 117 JW1x, 118 W1x ‘Ladies trophy’, 119 JM1x en 120 M1x ‘Holland Beker’ qualify as in FISA-tournaments with heats on Saturday morning and repechages on Saturday afternoon, semi-finales and C- and D-finals on Sunday morning and A- and B-finales on Sunday afternoon.
In all other events qualification is as follows:
7 crews 2 heats; nrs 1, 2 and fastest 3rd of the heats to the final
8-12 crews 2 heats; nrs 1, 2 and 3 of the heats to the final
13-18 crews 3 heats; nrs 1 and 2 of the heats to the final
19-24 crews 4 heats; nrs 1, 2 and 3 of the heats to the semi-finals
25-30 crews 5 heats; nrs 1, 2 and the two fastest 3rd of the heats to the semi-finales
31-36 crews 6 heats; nrs 1 and 2 of the heats to the semi-finales
Event nrs 43, 44, 45, 46 (Development category) and 133, 134, 135 (Freshman Eights) are governed by the Dutch Rules Rules of Racing (KNRB Reglement voor Roeiwedstrijden). Entry on these events is restricted to Dutch crews. In case of more than 6 entries on each of these events, the ranking in the list of freshmen’s eights after the races of the ARB 2km regatta is decisive. At the races of the freshmen’s eights female coxes in male crews, and vice versa, are allowed.
The medal ceremony will take place after each final of an event on the ceremony stage.
